Homewood Suites by Hilton Louisville Downtown, KY

I was in town for business, and this hotel had everything I needed, then some. The staff went out of their way to make sure my needs were met. My room was updated and chic, and the lobby felt warm, modern, and welcoming. Breakfast was stellar, too. It’s also a convenient spot: about a six-minute straight walk to the Convention center, and a good distance from museum row and places to eat. I’d definitely recommend it.

The hotel was fine, but I’m disappointed by how the situation was handled. Two of our young children got sick and were actively vomiting, so we left around 6pm, drove seven hours home overnight, and didn’t use the second night of our stay. I understand that policies exist, but I hoped the general manager might show some flexibility or goodwill given the circumstances and the unused night. I followed up with the hotel after posting this, but never got a call back. The service, follow-through, and compassion have left me very disappointed.

I’ve stayed here a few times and will come back when I’m in town. It’s clean both inside and out, with good breakfast available. Several distilleries and food options are an easy walk away.

The pool was clean and relaxing, breakfast was great, and the beds were soft. Cleanest rooms! Best hotel I’ve stayed in for sure. I’ll definitely be back.
