Inn at St James Court

Pat, the owner, is great, and the rooms are fantastic. My wife and I felt like we were staying with friends, so I've already booked for the same time next year. The two dogs and two cats were all friendly, too. The street parking was full the entire time, so ask for directions to the rear parking off the alley. One thing to keep in mind: it isn't handicapped accessible. All rooms are upstairs, 18 steps up. Next time I'll bring as little luggage as possible. All in all, a five star stay.

Patricia’s attention to every detail made this a stay we'll remember fondly for the rest of our lives. The old stone home is a treasure on what may be the most scenic street in Old Louisville. Its upkeep and renovation are remarkable. Highly recommended!

This was my first B&B stay, and Pat made me feel right at home. She lives downstairs with her 3 dogs and is a warm, caring host. I had bourbon tours on two mornings and needed to leave at 7am, a couple of hours before the Inn's usual breakfast time. Pat kindly gave me a couple of options and had everything ready by morning, with instructions. If you enjoy Bed & Breakfasts, Pat’s Inn wouldn't disappoint.

Pat is a great host and cook, and the house is gorgeous. We had a wonderful weekend trip to Louisville. The neighborhood is charming and fun to walk around, with lovely homes. There are nice restaurants within walking distance, especially 610 Marketplace, plus nightlife nearby. Downtown Louisville is a $7 uber ride away. Finding the Inn is easy, and street parking is easy too. If the street is full, there's extra space behind the house. Pat's 3 dogs, Sunshine, Scout & Spud, are sweethearts. There's also a small library with hundreds of books for a rainy day. A couple of things to know: Old Louisville is under an approach path for UPS to the KY airport, so planes may bother light sleepers. Pat provides a white noise machine if you want it. On Friday they stopped around 12 AM, and there weren't any Saturday night. As of now, 2 of the 3 suites aren't directly connected to the bathroom, so you have to go into the hallway. Pat is having that renovated soon.
