Mint House Louisville

Our stay was comfortable and relaxing, and we'd definitely come back. The historic building is beautiful, well kept, and right in the heart of Louisville, within walking distance of amenities and close to everything happening around town. The people running it were extremely helpful, went out of their way for us, and responded quickly. Highly recommend it as a place to stay, or even to live.

Sleep was impossible until 5 a.m. There was some kind of block party, rave, rap battle, or other large event right outside our window, completely incompatible with a residential setting. The bass made things in the room buzz, and even with hearing loss, no hearing aid at bedtime, and a white noise machine running, I could make out whole sentences people were shouting. The only time I couldn't hear them was when engines started revving. I don't know how zoning or police presence failed to stop it. The irony was having a noise monitor in our room to keep paying guests quiet while all that went on outside. NIGHTMARE.

There was hair and dirt on the extremely dirty sheets, and parking was very hard to find. I won't stay here again.

We came for a concert in the small upstairs venue. It was easy to get there by elevator, and parking was right across the street.
