Residence Inn By Marriott Louisville Northeast

We came to Louisville because my mother-in-law is dying, and this stay has made an already difficult week more stressful. We were first given the kind of room we’d booked, but it was filthy, the fireplace wouldn’t turn off, and one bathroom had water all over the floor. They moved us to a smaller room without telling us that remodeling was happening directly above. At 7:40 pm, the workers were still going, even though the desk kept telling us they’d be stopping soon. The pool and fitness center are closed for construction, and the place is dirty. Thanks, Marriott, for making a terrible situation worse.

The staff were friendly and courteous, and the hotel was very clean. They’re remodeling right now, so the rooms look modern and the decor is gorgeous. I’d love to stay here again.

Everyone’s been very nice, but the AC has been a problem. I was moved several times and couldn’t get any room below 73 degrees. Update: the thermostats are wired to the light switches, so turning the lights off shuts off the AC. I left the lights on, and eventually the room cooled down.

The entry and café look modern, and the staff were really friendly, but the rooms need a redo. Mine was rundown and poorly cleaned. The couch was dirty, falling apart, and incredibly uncomfortable, the mirrors were peeling at the back, and there were hairs all over the shower wall and floor. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The body wash container was empty too. It’ll do in a pinch, but the Fairfield next door is much better.
