Sleep Inn Louisville Airport & Expo

This has been the worst experience I’ve had with a property. I need to sort out an issue, but I can’t get a manager to take or return my calls. They know what I’m calling about and still won’t acknowledge the complaint or help resolve it. The whole thing has felt completely unprofessional. I absolutely don’t recommend this place. Find somewhere else before booking.

My room didn’t have a coffee machine, but everything else was good, and the rooms have been newly renovated. One thing to keep in mind: if plane noise disrupts your sleep, you may want to consider a different location.

The breakfast was below par, and there was a strong marijuana smell in the hallways. Our room was set to 43 when we arrived. The sign on the side we drove up to said Hilton, while the other side said Sleep Inn. We won't be coming back.

The main thing I’d tell anyone staying here is to check the receipt before leaving the desk. My dad had the room booked in his name while things at home were difficult, and I stayed there most of the nearly two weeks. I’m homeless, and the room gave me a safe place to shower and sleep for a reasonable price, as well as time with my dad. I’d been giving him money for the room and telling him to keep the change as a gift, since I thought the rate was around $100 every other day. On my last night, I saw a receipt for $200. He thought the price had gone up, and I realized there wasn’t any change to keep. Looking at the previous day’s receipt, I saw the same thing had happened then too. My grandpa asked the front desk about the unexpected higher charge the next morning and got only a vague answer that something didn’t look right. We had to leave, and my dad didn’t want to confront anyone. I called several times without getting an answer and plan to contact someone higher up if this isn’t resolved. It was a really disappointing end to what had otherwise been a good stay. When I first reviewed the hotel, I felt the service, rooms, and convenience were above average for the price, renovations aside. It’s also unusually quiet, with hardly any foot traffic. At cheaper Louisville hotels, I’ve often had people bothering me outside or inside. As a young single woman, I felt safer here and would call it family friendly. I also think some reviews expect a Galt House experience at the price of Louisville Manor Motel, and, for what it’s worth, I find the Galt House overrated. Sorry for the long explanation, but it was an unusual situation and I thought the details mattered.
