Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Louisville Airport

Check-in went well, but the next morning we discovered the shower wouldn't work while getting ready for a volleyball tournament. The pull to turn it on wasn't attached to anything. We called the front desk and were brushed off. He said he'd look into options and call back, but never did. After 20 minutes we called again and were told he was waiting on a manager. Meanwhile, we washed up in the sink as best we could and left for the tournament. When we came back, the desk said he could have moved us so we could shower. A bit late, don't you think? Then he offered points to make up for it. What an absolute joke.

The room was bright, clean, and spacious, and I didn't feel cramped. The queen beds had their own space, separate from the pull-out sofa and desk. The bathroom was spacious too. The fitness room was tidy and clean. They offered free bottled water at the front desk, an airport shuttle, and free breakfast in the morning.

I stayed for five days. On day three, before I was awake, the woman in the video rudely told me to check out. I went downstairs to renew the room fee, since I was supposed to stay through the sixth day. I hadn't even gotten up at seven that morning when the front desk called and told me I had to check out that day. Other staff here told me this woman had faced accusations of racial discrimination. It was a very bad trip.

The hotel was good value, close to the airport, and quiet despite the location. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean and roomy, and the bed comfortable with nice sheets and pillows. The facility was clean overall, and breakfast was standard hotel fare.
