We came for the farm show after looking at the rooms online, which seemed decent, but we were really disappointed when we arrived. The room smelled bad, was dirty, and had stained sheets with burn holes. The bed was uncomfortable, and there was no coffee pot, cups, or microwave. The floor was peeling up, with dirt and hair in the corners, and the doors were bent and didn't seal. UPS planes flew overhead all night, which they can't do anything about. We'll definitely look for something else next year.
The staff are friendly and leave you to yourself, and the room was clean. This is a basic place to sleep and shower, with no fancy or upscale feel. For what you get, I think it's a little too expensive, even knowing that living costs have gone up.
We picked this place because we had a limited budget and were running out of time, and I wish I'd checked the reviews first. Booking gave us incorrect information, then we were told something different when we arrived. I understood that late checkout on our last day was okay, but was later told no. We had to pay more so my family wouldn't be put out while we waited for our car. The washer and dryers are garbage: even after a 45-minute dry, my clothes were still soaked. The area made me uncomfortable as a woman, and another resident made creepy comments. The cleaning staff were pushy. One screamed at me when I said I'd take the trash to the dumpster since I was already heading there. On one occasion, I answered the door just a crack for my family's privacy because we'd just woken up, and a male staff member tried to push it open further until another staff member told him no. On another, I said I was fine for now and closed the door, then saw him peeping through my window while the blind was open to let light in. I raised it with the front desk because it made me uncomfortable, not to be rude, but they said it wasn't him. Seconds later, I was bothered again and asked the same question; I told them once more I was fine. The parking lot is often littered, and there's dog poop all over the grass patches. People should pick up after their animals. I'd call the stay okay, but I will not come back. If you have another choice, go elsewhere.
The rooms were the nicest I've seen at a Motel6: clean, modern-looking, and new-looking, with a soft bed and clean white bedding. There's a large TV and a desk and chair, plus a mini fridge but no microwave. A second door, presumably to another suite, was locked and blocked by the fridge. I couldn't work out how to turn off the bed lighting, though I didn't try very hard. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with a shower transfer chair and three sturdy railings. There are tap-to-unlock key cards, an enclosed staircase to the second floor, and possibly elevators, though I'm not sure since I stayed on the ground floor. Parking was plentiful, well lit, and felt tucked away rather than exposed. It was a bit tricky to reach in the city, but visible from a distance, and Gmaps showed which lanes I needed. Noise came from all directions because the walls are thin and there are no quiet hours: the next-door TV, dogs across the way, people outside, and guests talking upstairs. It wasn't terrible, just noticeable. My biggest complaint was the service window used after the lobby closes. That wasn't posted anywhere, and the window isn't easy to spot. Its speaker is quiet and tinny, hard to hear, and doesn't pick things up unless the attendant speaks right into it. The ID and card transfer slot is a strange wooden box with a metal tray that slides back and forth. It's shadowy and poorly lit, so it's hard to tell which side the tray is on. A standard window with a mail slot or plastic gap would make more sense. They also charge a $50 deposit, which I haven't encountered at other Motel6 locations I've visited.
The service was good, but the room had a lot of problems. The bathroom was disgusting, with bits of previous guests' soap and hair all over the shower and toilet, and the towels were stained. The mattresses were very hard, and the covers had cigarette burns. The USB ports didn't work, and despite there being four of us, we got only one room key. Neither of the remotes worked. The motel is right by the airport, so it's very noisy.
