The lodge has a lovely glamping feel, and its location worked really well for us, about a 20-minute drive from Loveland and under 30 minutes from Estes Park. We booked this cute place for a quick weekend in October. Our room was clean and quiet, and the owner showed us around before we settled in and checked that we were happy with everything. We couldn't use the fire pits because of the dry, windy conditions and the fire risk, but next season I can picture us making s'mores by the Big Thompson River. We'll definitely return.

Lori, the property operations manager, was kind and helpful throughout. Since I expected to arrive late, Lori and her staff left a handwritten note with directions so I could find my room, along with a welcome basket. My card payment failed, but she handled it gracefully and sorted it out without any trouble. I spent two days in the Cowboy Cabin and was very happy with the stay. It had good WiFi, included parking, and was about 25-30 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin is beside the river, so make time to sit there. Inside, the queen bed was comfortable, the TV worked well, and a heater kept the room warm in the early morning. There was also a small kitchen with a two-burner stove, fridge, and microwave, where I could make quick meals. The bathroom and toilet were fully functional, with hot and cold water. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area.

The owner was incredibly kind and let my daughter and me look around, even though we weren't staying there. We got to tour the “caboose” where my family used to stay, though it isn't operating right now. The property is beautifully maintained and still has the charm I remember. Stoney Ridge Loge (previously 2 Eagles) means a lot to my family. My grandparents brought their children, including my dad, here in the 60-70s, then brought me and my siblings in the 90s. Our last family trip was 25 years ago, after my dad’s passing, when we came to spread some of his ashes. Being able to return with my daughter meant so much. I'm grateful for the owner's kindness and hope to stay with my family again one day.

We've stayed in the sheep room for three years now, and we'll be back next year with the other kid and grandkids. They're already working out who gets the top bunk. The owners are outstanding, and their service is a big reason we return. The room is more like a cabin, with a separate bedroom and full kitchen, and we love being mid canyon. We take turns bringing the kids and grandkids each year. It was relaxing to watch our 2 teenage grandsons play horse shoes and badminton instead of being on their devices. I spent some time watercolor painting at the nice wrought iron table above the water. Thank you!

We left feeling refreshed and grounded, and already want to come back. The cabin was cozy, clean, and so comfortable that we wanted to linger. We felt safe and cared for, with tall trees around us, the river's gentle sound, and crisp mountain air. Everything worked well, too: strong Wi-Fi and air conditioning that kept the cabin cool on warmer days. Lori welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home right away. Her care shows throughout the place, in all the thoughtful details. It has a peaceful, rustic feel along with modern comforts. There's nothing we'd change. Thank you Lori for such a memorable stay. ❤️
