Cattlemen Motel

The quiet overnight stay and low price were a welcome surprise. We didn’t hear a peep, and the bill was so affordable I checked the receipt to make sure nothing had been missed. The beds at the Cattlemen Motel were wonderfully comfortable, and the room was spotless with no odd smells or sticky surfaces. The decor has a cozy, old-fashioned Americana feel, like a charming trip back in time. We were exhausted after calling from two hours away, and the kind person at the front desk checked us in over the phone and left our keys, making our late arrival easy. No modern bells and whistles, but a clean room, a comfy bed, and staff who treat you like a person were all we needed. I’d give it six stars if I could.

The bed was comfortable, and there are dog-friendly rooms. We also got helpful local recommendations. When we called at night about an internet and TV issue, they sorted it out quickly. It’s in a quiet, safe spot that’s conveniently located. Highly recommend.

Christy M was wonderful and gave us the information we needed for a great visit to Lovell and the Big Horn area. I stayed here at the end of August 2025. The room was comfortable, clean, and had what I needed. Be sure to try the Bull Pub in Cowley. I can’t wait to come back!

We liked it so much that we stopped here again on the way back. The motel was a convenient place to break up our trip to Montana while avoiding the interstate, and it turned out to be a real find. Our stay was clean and quiet, with comfortable beds and the usual room amenities. There were even local honey caramels from a nearby honey shop. There’s plenty to do in and around town, especially if you’re into outdoor activities. We’ll definitely return.
