Lovington Inn

I was meant to catch an early flight from the next city, about 30 miles away, but there was no Uber, taxi, or other ride here. The manager went out of his way to help me find transportation. Thank you so much, Mr Manager.

This was my first time here with my fiancé, though he’d stayed at another location before. It was the only pet-friendly place, which was good for CuJo but not for us. We’ve stayed at a few places because of my fiancé’s work, and only one other stay was like this. The workers here seem way too tired to be getting bitten by bed bugs. The only friendly person at this motel was the housekeeper.

We walked in, set our things down, and left. The room was filthy and dusty, with food crumbs on the bed frames, dirty sheets and pillowcases, and a filthy tile floor. The air wasn’t working, so it was hot, and the outside was dirty too. The door didn’t close all the way and its lock was loose. There was no proper blind or curtain, just a strange plastic shade. No dresser, desk, coffee machine, or ironing board either. The soap and lotion dispensers were empty, and breakfast was just cereal, milk, and juice. There was still an item left in the room from when they textured it, and the place smelled dusty and dirty. I didn’t even want my dog staying there. We asked for a refund, but they still charged a pet fee. They wanted $131 for this. No thank you.

The rooms have been remodeled and look great, with a fridge and microwave in every room. The channel selection is awesome, there were no pests, and the room smelled good. Parking is easy and plentiful for truckers. There was some debris around the building from the remodeling, and the shower only got lukewarm. Aside from that, it’s the best value in Lovington.
