Motel 6 Lugoff, SC

We booked for two nights after our earlier plans fell through, but left after six hours. People screamed and yelled all night, literally until 3:30 am. The shower left me feeling dirtier. The mini fridge looked like it had been pulled from a muddy ditch, and the shower curtain seemed covered in mold and nasty stains. There was broken glass all over, so put boots on your dogs if you walk them there. The maids went into my room and messed with my things even though I'd left the DND sign up. Better hope you don't bring anything you like, because they might like it more and it'll be gone. This place doesn't deserve even one star.

I left for the day with the do not disturb sign up. When I came back, staff had gone into my room and taken my body mist. If they liked it, they could've asked; I would've given it to them. Going into a room I've paid for and taking my things is disrespectful. I called the front desk, and all they said was, “Oh no, I'll let manager know.”

I've spent thousands of dollars here while trying to get back on my feet. Things were wonderful at first, but my extended stay got worse and worse. Other guests are loud in the parking lot at all hours, smoking marijuana, and the smell came into my room and kept me awake. I had to wait all night for toilet paper once, couldn't shower, and slept on a bare mattress without a sheet for two nights. I told staff I needed things, but they either didn't bring them or said employees couldn't get them if they weren't left in the office overnight. Once they told me to take my own trash and linens to the dumpster and laundry room. When you report a problem, they say they'll tell the owners, but the owners never talk to you. Corporate put me on hold to call the motel, and staff again said they'd have to call the owner. The owner said she'd take care of it the next day. Three days later, there was no apology or offer to make up for a miserable stay. I want a full refund for the three nights I paid for and an apology. I'll keep leaving bad reviews every day until it's resolved. Treat your guests better. The motel costs more than better cheap places with actual amenities. They advertise Wi-Fi, but the connection wouldn't stay up, and I couldn't work online, losing money for three days. They list a pool, but it was green and closed. The free lobby coffee was bad, if any was made, and sometimes there was no sugar or creamer. You'd think they'd want to keep repeat guests who pay and don't cause problems happy.

The people are very nice, and the rooms are clean and great. It's quiet here, too. I stay often, and it's the best hotel around.
