Peabody's 'Hip Little Stay'

The room was spacious and faced the street, so we did hear some light traffic. The location is excellent, with restaurants and entertainment an easy walk away. There’s a hot tub and fire pit, and the host likes to bake, so we got to enjoy some lovely homemade treats. A great alternative B&B in Luray, VA.

Judy’s local tips helped us fall for Luray, from where to hike to which wineries to visit, and the views were wow. After a full hiking day, the backyard hot tub overlooking the mountains felt incredible. We also loved ending the evening by the fire pit with a glass or three of wine. Judy made our short weekend memorable with her suggestions and delicious, simple breakfasts using farm-fresh food from farms down the road. We’d just been on a Bahamas and Virgin Islands cruise two weeks earlier, but I’d pick Peabody's B&B over that cruise ten times. It felt like a real vacation. The B&B is a one-suite place, so Judy gives you her full attention and there aren’t other guests staying with you. She was fantastic about planning, replying to my texts and emails right away and making the weekend stress-free. For my wife’s 30th birthday, she went above and beyond: she arranged a surprise picnic in a gorgeous garden with my wife’s favorite food, plus a birthday cake and roses. It was a big surprise, and Judy took care of it so I didn’t have to worry. I got a lot of points with my wife for that! This is everything I hoped for and more in a B&B.

Judy made us feel at home and was so kind, always going out of her way. Check-in was easy, communication was good, and we had a cute room with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious. An amazing BnB.

Judy knows the area really well and had lots of good ideas for places to visit and things to do. She also went above and beyond with breakfast every day. A must if you’re staying in Luray!
