Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Baltimore North - Timonium

The bathroom ceiling was crumbling, and bits of drywall were already on the floor when we arrived. The room also lacked both the mini fridge and microwave shown in the business photos, which seem to be from years ago. The new owners are removing the furniture units that held them while still using those photos. We were traveling with items that needed refrigeration and don't book places without a mini fridge for that reason. Since we'd booked through a third party and there were absolutely no refunds, we were out the money and had to pay more for a last-minute solution. The room was supposed to be smoke-free, but the freshly made bed's comforter had a cigarette burn hole. Our room number, 247, was marked on the inside corner of the blanket, so we knew it belonged in that room. My wife and I are both extremely allergic to cigarette smoke, and we worried its toxins might still be on the drapes, surfaces, and the debris-covered filtration grate in the A/Heat unit. Photos of all of this are included. I understand it's a 2 star hotel and didn't expect much, but advertised amenities that aren't there and safety concerns shouldn't be excused. Don't trust the business photos. Beware.

I spent two weeks at Red Roof PLUS+ Baltimore North - Timonium and had a consistently great stay. The rooms stayed clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with no problems during my visit. The place felt safe and dependable, which made it easy to settle in. The property manager and the whole staff were very friendly, welcoming, and ready to help whenever I needed something. That level of service really stood out over a longer stay. I'd gladly return and recommend it for short visits or extended stays.

Clean accommodations are the bare minimum, and the photo describes a spa-like bathroom in a "premium room." Edit: I came back, and this is the shower I've asked them to repair. Nothing has been done in three days. If you can afford another place, I'd recommend it. They clearly don't care about the quality of the stay for their guests.

The location is great, and the bed was comfortable, but that's about it. The rooms are very outdated and poorly maintained, with nicks and scrapes on all the furniture. There was a bad smell, rust stains in the tub, and cracking, peeling ceiling throughout. The heat wouldn't work and only blew cool air, even on the warmest setting. I won't stay here again.
