Walking in feels like coming home, as corny as that might sound. I’ve stayed here a couple of times, and my grandmother used to stay here on every trip to Vermont/New Hampshire. I was back in town recently for a wedding and stayed overnight again. Everyone was fantastic. Hillary served breakfast with a smile, Jack, who I believe is the owner, was very friendly at checkout, and Kendra always has a smile too. Honestly, this place deserves more than five stars.

The Alden-Grant Suite was incredibly spacious and comfortable, with a big cozy fireplace, a generous walk-in closet, and a huge sitting area with a couch and chairs that made it easy to relax. The furnishings and decor were thoughtfully done, so it felt like a luxurious home away from home. The owner was warm and welcoming, and their kindness and attention made the stay special. The Lyme Inn is gorgeous, quiet, charming, and full of character, right in the heart of a small New England town. It felt like stepping into a storybook and was a peaceful retreat. This was an unforgettable stay, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene escape, lovely accommodations, and genuine New England charm.

About 15 minutes from Hanover, the location worked well for us. We loved our stay at the Lyme Inn. It was cozy and quaint, and the hotel staff were so welcoming and friendly.

The bathrooms have gorgeous Italian tiles, and the tubs are deep enough for a really good soak. The rooms and grounds feel restful, with all the little details taken care of so you can just unwind and recharge. Photos don’t quite capture the calm, comfortable, quality feel you get when you walk in. The Lyme Inn is one of my favorite places to stay, and it’s such a joy to have lodging this good in the Upper Valley.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the employees were wonderful. We stayed in one of the King Rooms at the Lyme Inn, and it really was the best experience. It was one of the cleanest places I’ve ever been, and the rooms were decorated so lovely. We definitely plan to visit again.
