Hilton Garden Inn Seattle Lynnwood, WA

I've stayed three or four times over the past few months, and every visit has been perfect. The staff are wonderful, especially the woman at the front desk. Service in the restaurant has been great too. Noe is the name on my receipts.

I've stayed here from time to time while working for a local company, but this visit was a real letdown. The rooms are nice, though they no longer have an extra blanket. Dinner was passable. Breakfast was a disaster: the rolls were so hard I nearly chipped a tooth, the tables were dirty, and service was nonexistent. The food used to be industrial but adequate, and the two women who worked breakfast were great with coffee and orders. They were cheerful in the morning, and now they're gone. Whoever chose lower-quality food and got rid of those cheerful women should resign. It'll be hard to recommend this place now. Good luck if you have to stay here.

The front desk staff were helpful and very polite, but the room was stuffy, stale, and dry, like a tomb. I slept only a few hours. You can't even open a window, and there's no in-room ventilation. There isn't a bathroom fan either, so I was afraid a shower would turn the room into a swamp. The walls also don't block sound as well as I'd expect from a “Hilton.” Don't be fooled by the nice-looking lobby, gym equipment, bar, restaurant, and pool. Ask to see the room and wait a few minutes with the door shut so you can feel it yourself. And to top it off, my credit card was hacked while I was staying there. The only place I'd used it during the last month was this Hilton, so beware. Just beware.

Clean and quiet, with thoughtful staff. My reserved room had been sold out, so they moved me to another one. I appreciated being away from the freeway and slept well. I'll be back.
