Nine Columns

The meals were delicious, and the house is one of the most beautifully decorated places I’ve seen, with gorgeous artwork throughout. Victor was a charming, welcoming host who made us feel like family. We had an amazing time and will definitely come back to our new favorite B&B in the South.

The breakfasts Victor makes are huge and out of this world, and I’d tell anyone visiting Lyons to try this place. It’s close enough to walk downtown, with a pool and a big green lawn shaded by giant oak trees. The house itself feels like home, though the antiques and vintage furnishings give it a royal sort of look. Victor is attentive and keeps the place comfortable and inviting, so you really do feel like family. There’s Saturday brunch with mimosas, and the home also hosts weddings, baby showers, rehearsal dinners, and other events. It’s a lovely place to pause while traveling or hold a small or extravagant gathering. And ask Victor to play piano and sing, that’s the best treat. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

It was a perfect little getaway, less than a three-hour drive for us, with a small-town feel and a beautiful place to stay. At 9 Columns B & B, we laughed, had long conversations, ate far too much good food, caught up with an old friend, and met some new ones. That’s southern hospitality at its best. Thanks, Victor. We’ll be back.

The old character of the house has been kept, with a lot of its history still showing. Victor and his sisters were all so warm, and Victor in particular brought a cheerful brightness to the place. I felt completely welcome and right at home. 9 Columns is beautiful, and I’ll be coming back.
