Pine Cottage Bed & Breakfast

Our original hotel had a maintenance issue, so we were moved here, and we were glad we came. The two-bedroom suite on the third floor was fantastic: a sitting area with table and chairs, a microwave, small fridge and sink, a living area, and a water view. Both bedrooms were cute and comfortable, the bathroom was lovely, and waffle-weave robes were provided. It was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, and there was afternoon tea and cookies too. We enjoyed the community sitting room and big front porch. Caroline and her crew were friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and quaint, just up the hill off the main street. It’s not a good choice if you can’t or don’t want to use stairs, though porters will bring luggage to your room. My friend and I have traveled a lot in Europe, so stairs and no elevator felt normal to us. Great place.

The way the staff looked after us is what will bring us back to Pine Cottage Bed and Breakfast. They clearly care about guests and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had booked a smaller family room, but once we arrived it was clear it would be too tight. Without us asking, they noticed and upgraded us to a larger room at no extra cost. That generous gesture made a real difference. The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. It was a wonderful stay.

The innkeepers were kind and very helpful, and the front porch was a lovely place to unwind after exploring and chat with other guests. Pine Cottage Bed & Breakfast was clean, beautiful, and homey, with delicious breakfast and afternoon tea and cookies. There was also a cute little helper, Roma. We stayed two nights, October 4th and 5th, 2025, and had a wonderful experience. Mackinac really is magical and unforgettable. Thank you!

The rooms were very clean, the food was very good, and the staff were very nice. It’s a great location for walking around and seeing the area. A great stay on Mackinac Island, and I’ll come back next year.
