Terrible. The room smelled musty, there was food on the walls, the sheets were dirty, and garbage had been left behind. We booked two nights, but after an hour we went to the lobby and were told they'd refund the second night. The woman said she'd process it the next day. A week later, there was still no refund. I called, and she said she remembered, laughed, and wouldn't refund us. Don't recommend.

Julie Ann- Marie, our room keeper, was wonderful: helpful, kind, and greeted me yesterday with, "Good Afternoon, how are You." Keep up the good work, Julie. Our room was clean and the beds were nice and comfortable, but the room needs to be redone. I'm disappointed about the pools, and there are things at this place that need attention.

We booked through Priceline and found the staff rude and the customer service poor. We arrived in the morning because we were told we could use the amenities and that shuttle service was available. It turned out they'd only call a shuttle to the ferry, and we live on Mackinac Island. We were told we'd have access to four pools, though one was out for maintenance, and two hot tubs. Both tubs were freezing and had a layer of slimy film. Two of the three pools had bugs and debris, so we cleaned them before letting our three small children use them. They knew we had young children, but the room wasn't ready until the 4 p.m. check-in. When we finally got in, it smelled pungent, there was a dirty towel on the bathroom door, and the toilet was dirty from the previous guest. The property has potential and a convenient location, but it's dated and poorly cared for. Online photos make it look waterfront, and the pools don't look like the pictures. The website also shows a small continental breakfast, which is completely false. At $170 a night, breakfast should have been provided as advertised.

The beds were comfortable, and the price was very good. The staff at the other hotel where we had to check in and out were nice. The room had some issues: the bathroom light made a loud noise, the hair dryer didn't work, and the fridge froze our stuff. But don't choose this place for its pools or hot tub. The water was filthy and the pools and tub were full of dirt and bugs. If all you need is somewhere to rest your head, the room may be fine for the price. If you're after a cheap stay with a pool, this isn't it.
