The beds were some of the nicest I've slept on, but the room was cold and smelled very musty. At first, neither the heat nor the hot water seemed to work. There weren't any extra blankets, either.

If you're not planning to spend much time in the room, it might be all right, though I'd look at other options first. We came for the city and island, which were beautiful, not to hang around the hotel. There was a really nice lake view, and someone lit a beach fire pit every night we were there. The ferry is right nearby. The hotel gives good ferry discounts and offers free delivery from a decent number of downtown places. But don't expect a hot breakfast: it was granola bars, hot chocolate, and coffee. When we arrived, all the sheets were stained, so be ready to ask for clean ones before you even get to your room. The hot tub needed more water. It made a loud noise because the level was so low, and you could tell it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The bathroom fan was super loud. I'd leave it on the whole time so you don't have to switch it on in the middle of the night and wake everyone up.

We arrived super late and just needed one night. I had accidentally booked for the wrong day, a day later than needed, but they changed it for me without any trouble. After seeing earlier reviews, which I only read once I'd booked, I didn't expect much, but the place didn't disappoint. The room was clean, the shower was hot, and the patio view was beautiful. I only dealt with one staff member, and she was fantastic.

Room 104 was spotless, and the hotel was convenient. But the bar of soap was hard as a brick, so it was nearly impossible to get any lather off it. It would last a family of four taking long showers every day for a month, not because it was big, but because it was that hard. And the advertised “full hot breakfast” doesn't exist. All you get is a granola bar and hot coffee. I'll never stay there again.
