The rooms were updated, unlike the stock photos on Google, and everything was quiet, clean, and free of bugs or bad smells. At this price, I expected it might be sketchy or have a bug, so I was pleasantly surprised. The exterminator was there doing maintenance work, which also eased my worries about bringing anything unwanted home from traveling. Staff were nice too. Breakfast was a good, standard continental spread. There’s no pool, but I didn’t need one.

Rachel at the front desk was so kind. She gave me ideas for things to do while I was in Macon and held my bag while I went hiking. My room was clean, breakfast was good, and the staff were super friendly. I had a great one-night stay.

It looked nice and had a decent little breakfast, but the welcome at check-in was pretty cool. After unpacking, we found the in-room fridge wasn’t working. We had medication that needed to stay cold, and they offered to put it in the staff freezer, saying other guests had done that too. That sounds like a recurring problem. We ended up replacing the ice in our mini cooler instead. The only ice machine is on the first floor. In the night, we heard someone walking around upstairs in what sounded like work boots on a bare floor and dragging something heavy. About an hour later, a dog was barking nearby in another room. At checkout, a much nicer woman at the desk said they were remodeling on the floor above us, but nobody had worked that night, and there were no registered guests with pets. All they offered was an apology. We’ll stay at one of the many other places in the area next time we pass through.

The room looked clean at first, but the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed well and there were food crumbs beside the microwave. It was quiet inside except for the parking lot, where a vehicle blasted bass for over two hours, driving back and forth between this hotel and the one next door. There was no staff or security out there. Later, a strong pot smell came down the hall despite the no-smoking signs, then got into our room from somewhere nearby after 7 pm and triggered my asthma. There wasn’t anyone in the building monitoring it. They should have guests sign a no-smoking form covering vaping, cigars, cigarettes, and marijuana, and charge a fee for breaking it. The room was outdated, small, and tight for bringing in a cart, though it was okay for one night. The bed was very firm with three half-sized pillows, and the clean bathroom had two towels. There were no USB plugs or laundry bags, so bring your own. The safe clicked and flashed for half the night. One key card didn’t work, and the counter staff at check-in wasn’t friendly. The lobby was clean, and the location is handy for the highway.
