My family had to stay here for a couple of weeks because of unfortunate circumstances, and ended up going to a family shelter. My advice is simple: don’t stay here. The rooms look nothing like the pictures. Roaches seem to own the place, and there was fighting and what looked like drug selling and exchanges all night. Homeless people wandered around drunk at all hours. An ambulance was there all the time, and the police had apparently stopped coming. People were found dead in their rooms with no explanation as to why. Channel 13 will be out there soon, and you’ll be able to see for yourself. The air conditioning, refrigerator, and smoke alarms weren’t working. There were leaks everywhere, and nothing was getting fixed. They have one maintenance guy, but he apparently can’t separate his personal life from work and gets nothing done. The office staff live on site and do absolutely nothing. I’ve heard 97 percent of Macon crime comes from this place.

I moved away from Middle Georgia years ago, and this was my first trip back. Southern hospitality is still going strong. Even the roaches came out to welcome me home!

My mother and I were treated disrespectfully, and I believe it was racism because she’s Hispanic and I’m a US citizen who speaks both languages. After we politely asked for fresh sheets, the cleaning lady came into our room yelling that we wouldn’t get a refund and calling us liars. They took $30 from us. This place is nasty and disgusting, with horrible service. I wouldn’t give it one star. It’s a zero-star motel.

They add extra charges without telling you when you book. If you can avoid a hotel run or owned by non-Americans, do it at all costs. Every one I’ve been to has tried to price gouge.
