Wingate by Wyndham Macon I-475

The room itself seemed clean and didn’t have an odor, though it was very dated. But we were woken early by a cockroach crawling across us, so we checked out ahead of schedule. The lobby and the hall outside our room smelled strongly of vomit, with a heavy marijuana smell too. Spend a little more and stay somewhere nicer.

Our king room was clean, and the hotel and room both smelled fresh when we walked in. The staff were friendly, and we had a great stay. The bathroom layout was unusual, with a sliding door just a couple of steps from the bed. The shower door swung both ways without a latch, and water escaped underneath. You could also see light all around the room door from the hallway, so it could use a better seal.

At 4 a.m. a roach crawled across my face and pillow, which got me an early checkout. The lobby and hallways smelled of vomit, and they were cluttered with boxes and misplaced things. The front desk staff didn't ask how my stay had been and didn't seem to care. The Motel 6 right next door is a better choice.

I thought the place was very clean, and the staff were so good about checking whether we needed anything. The bathrooms were clean too, and breakfast had eggs, sausage, and whatever else you wanted. We were completely satisfied with it. There are lots of stores and supermarkets around, and it was very quiet at night. We'll come back ❤️ Some of the reviews are false ❤️
