The bedding and towels were dirty, and when you ask the front desk to change the towels, you won't get them until checkout. The carpet smelled like it was 1000 years old, and smoke drifted into my non-smoking room after midnight and stayed until I checked out. The whole place felt like a homeless shelter in a scary movie, with a property that seemed 1000 years old. You'd be better off taking a shower at a Truck Stop Gas Station and sleeping in your car. In my opinion, this place is worth $20 a night.

The man sleeping in the wrecked car asked me for cigarettes and money several times. The place has seen better days and needs a deep clean and a lot of repairs. If you’re looking for a cheap stay and can put up with squalor, this is it.

The security guard was friendly, and so was the front desk worker’s husband. The desk worker herself seemed more interested in doing something else than helping us. The room had rock-hard beds, flat pillows, discolored sheets and towels, and carpet burned by stove elements. The carpet was made of mismatched pieces, and the bathroom light fixture was coming loose. Breakfast was advertised but unavailable, though given the cleanliness, I wouldn’t have eaten it anyway. This place has potential, and it’d be nice to see it fixed up.

I know what real struggle looks like, but this place is a disgrace to the community. It feels almost like living in a dungeon, and it represents all the wrong things.

The quick check-in was about the only good part, so I’m being generous with two stars. I found roaches in the hall, the whole place smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the room was below par. The floor was stained and sticky enough that I wore flip-flops around both the room and bathroom. The TV had no HDMI cable, and it took two trips to the front desk to get one. Other guests were loud well past midnight. I rarely leave reviews, but this was a very poor stay.
