Fall colors made the area stunning, and we did plenty of sightseeing. The ski lift a few miles up the mountain was running during the leaf change, which was very cool. We were in Waitsfield for a wedding at Mad River Barn, and the Lodge was just down the road. A shuttle was arranged, so we didn’t need a DD. Our suite was clean, with a parking spot right outside and top quality towels, bedding, and mattress. The owners were available and replied to texts right away. Lobby coffee with plenty of cream was excellent, and the door code was handy when we were dressed up. This is a perfect home base for seeing fall colors.

The innkeeper was incredibly responsive when I got stuck in the driveway during a snowstorm, sending another plow up and down and going out of their way to help free my car. I had a great ski trip stay at Mad River Lodge. My room was clean and really nice, and I can’t say enough good things about the visit. I’m looking forward to coming back.

We were four adults in my family, and the place was comfortable enough that we booked another night. The common room was spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the mattresses felt just right. The innkeeper was fantastic and quick to respond.

The rustic barn decor was lovely, and the room was huge, perfect for our one night. Sugarbush is so close. Loved the place, and we’ll be back!

This has become our regular place when we visit the valley. It’s cozy and affordable for a weekend, and you can keep the whole stay contact-free if that’s what you want. Whenever we need something, the staff are helpful and quick to respond. Looking forward to coming back next year.
