Hampton Inn Madison Huntsville Airport

Denise went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant, and the staff were cheerful, hardworking, and helpful. The room itself was extremely noisy, though. The HVAC sounded like a propeller and kept switching on and off, so getting a solid night’s sleep was impossible. I mentioned it to staff that day, but there’s only so much they can do. Management higher up and corporate need to hear about it.

After a very long travel day, I got in at 2 AM and Sean at the front desk took great care of me. He made sure I had enough snacks and water to get me through until breakfast. The next day, the young woman at the desk and the shuttle driver were both kind and polite. I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

I ended up staying elsewhere when I needed a second night in Madison. I’d found blood on the sheets when I stripped the bed. I’d gone straight to sleep because I was tired, and at first wondered if my partner had cut themselves, but later learned that wasn’t what had happened. Earlier that morning, housekeeping had come to our door three times between 8 and 11 even though we left at 11. Staff said checkout was at 11, although the website and app both said noon. I knew renovations were going on, but wasn’t expecting a ladder right in front of the elevator. I also usually get a check-in text and complimentary waters, which I hadn’t received for the first time in years. That may have been an early sign this stay would be subpar.

The room was clean, the breakfast was adequate, and the desk clerks were friendly enough. Breakfast was the usual Hampton Inn spread of yogurt, bacon or sausage, bread, muffins, toast, and waffles. I’ve stayed at better Hamptons, and at worse ones too.
