We’re from Madison and used to live a couple of blocks away, so it was lovely to find somewhere close to our friends, with lots of places within walking distance. We came in winter and nearly had the B&B to ourselves, but breakfast was still laid out on New Years day. It was the usual sort of spread, with many things sourced from around Madison, and we appreciated the lack of single-use items. The house was clean and well kept, a traditional Madison home with clear views of Lake Mendota and lots of open space on the main floor to gather. It's also right by a major bus route toward campus, making it a great spot for summer events. If you're visiting as a tourist, rent a bike for the trails in Madison. They're the best I've ridden in a downtown US city. We'll definitely be back.

The garden and foliage were beautiful, and the view was amazing. State street and the Capitol building are an easy walk away. Bob helped with our last-minute reservation and check-in, and David and Bob put out a delicious breakfast. The waffles and homemade scones were so good. Thanks, we'll be back.

It felt like home, and the owners were kind and always available to answer questions or suggest restaurants. We had a lake-view room, with an excellent tub and shower. The owner-made breakfast was delicious and included extra organic choices. The historic house is beautiful, a Craftsman with lovely Mid century modern decor. This is the best B&B in Madison WI for us, and we'll be back.

We had several close family members stay at the B&B for our wedding weekend, and the setting was awesome. The hosts graciously let us use the common area to gather the wedding party before the ceremony. Each family member told us how great their room was, especially the views of the lake and Madison.
