Maggie Valley Creekside Lodge

That creek behind the place was a lovely extra. My husband and I had a peaceful weekend away, and our room was clean and nice. The women running the place were helpful and pleasant. I’d happily recommend it.

I’m giving up on trying to arrange a group booking here. Over six days I called at least five times, and got no help or return calls. Most calls went to voicemail; once I reached someone, they said only “Carol” could handle a request for up to 10 rooms. I left messages for her and was told she’d be available the next day, but heard nothing. It’s frustrating, since it looked like an ideal spot. I’ll try one of the other 70 hotels or motels around here.

Diana was wonderful, really kind and helpful. Our room was roomy and spotless, with a private-feeling balcony, a privacy fence and a creek view. There are fire pits out back, plus a big pavilion with plenty of seats out front. The guest laundry is handy, too. As a biker, I look for security cameras, and I didn’t notice any watching the parking lot. Great place, and I’ll come back.

The creek, balcony, picnic tables, pavilion and fire pits made the stay especially nice. We also found the room clean and spacious, and the price was reasonable. It’s centrally located in Maggie Valley, so we’d stay at Maggie Valley Creekside Lodge again when we’re in the area.
