The Yellow House on Plott Creek Road

Breakfast was a delicious three-course meal, served at a beautifully set table. We also enjoyed walking around the property and along the trails. The house has been restored and renovated to its former beauty, and our comfortable room made us feel right at home. My husband and I stayed at The Yellow House while visiting my brother and sister-in-law, and loved it from arrival to departure. We’ll be back next time we’re in Waynesville, NC.

Chad made us feel welcome and was accommodating in every way, and the staff were top-notch too. Our first two-night stay at The Yellow House was a real pleasure. The room was convenient and beautifully decorated, as was the whole house. There were daily treats in the room and more in the serving area, plus delicious breakfasts. It’s an ideal getaway close to Waynesville, with lots of restaurants and a walkable downtown. Lake Junaluska is also a lovely place for a walk and scenery, and the creperie there is great. Definitely a five-star B&B!

Their regency weekend was a lovely time. Guests dressed up, we ate regency-inspired dishes, including delicious sticky toffee pudding, played croquet and whist, and watched some stellar performances. I’d come back if they hold the event again. The wine and dinner events are lovely too, though you don’t need a special event to visit. The Yellow House suits any occasion or a simple getaway, and their hospitality is unmatched.

The owner is easy to talk to, knows the area well, and can offer suggestions. Homemade treats were waiting in our room when we arrived, and the place was very clean. Downtown Waynesville is under 10 minutes away and has some excellent places to eat. This is the absolute best bed and breakfast!
