Bev made us feel right at home. She was a wonderful host, prepared delicious breakfast from scratch, refreshed the rooms each day, and knew the area well. The amenities she provided were top notch. We stayed in the lovely Hirsch room for a short Orlando wedding visit, and Thurston House turned it into an amazing stay. The home has comfortable rooms, quick hot water, and historic character with enough modern comforts. It sits on a decent sized property in town, quiet but convenient for getting around. It was more comforting than almost any hotel, and competitively priced for the area. Thurston House is hands down a perfect place to stay nearby.

A cozy, clean room, delicious breakfast, and a very welcoming hostess. This was such a lovely old America B&B in the cutest historic house by a beautiful lake. With just 3 rooms and a spot tucked away off a private road, it felt peaceful, quiet, and safe. Downtown Orlando amenities were only about 15 min away. Great for a romantic couples trip or a mother-daughter getaway.

The stay was a birthday gift for my husband, and Beverly took care of all my special requests and needs. She’s welcoming and kind. Our room was very clean, with a comfortable bed, heavy towels, and furnishings that matched the history of the home beautifully. Breakfast was a delight. I highly recommend Thurston House, and if I need a place in Winter Park again, I’ll stay here.

Beverly was thoughtful and attentive, and she handled our dietary requests well. Breakfast was delicious. The house was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and made a perfect home base for our time in Orlando.

My husband and I stayed at Thurston House in May of 2025, and it’s become our go to place when we’re back in Central Florida. Beverly is gracious, has a lovely personality, and was very accommodating with my dietary restrictions. My husband has none, but we both thought the food was excellent. We’ve stayed at B & Bs many times over the years, and this was the best food we’ve had. Highly recommend staying with Beverly at Thurston House.
