Holiday Inn Express & Suites Malvern By IHG

The pool is being resurfaced, so you’ll need to swim somewhere else for now. Aside from that, this Holiday Inn was perfect for our week of checking out Hot Springs and the surrounding area. Our bathtub wasn’t draining properly when we checked in yesterday. Maintenance tried to fix it, but when it still held water, they quickly moved us to another room. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff are friendly and professional. The rooms are very nice, and Walmart and other shops and places to eat are within walking distance. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it if you’re in the Hot Springs area.

The person who checked me in was extremely nice and professional, but this was the worst Holiday Inn I’ve stayed at in all my work travel. It felt much more like a Quality Inn or Motel 6. The bed was awful, the coffee came from a machine instead of being freshly brewed, and loose floor tiles were all over the room. Breakfast was yuck, and the pictures show bugs everywhere. I really don’t recommend it.

The guy at reception was cool. We talked about how the lobby had no Christmas decorations at all, not even a hint, unlike other Holiday Inn Express locations. It was December 7, 2025, and I’m a diamond elite member for a reason. The property itself isn’t great: damaged walls, broken doors, cups without the Holiday Inn Express logo, and pillows facing the wrong way, among other things. It feels like a budget Holiday Inn Express, the Super 8 version, and needs a complete renovation. I’ll consider somewhere else next time I’m in the area.

A last-minute booking turned into the best hotel stay we’ve had in years for the price. I think the front desk employee was named Rachel, and she got us checked in quickly. The room was cool and clean, the beds were comfortable, and we liked having a choice of pillows. The kids had fun in the pool, and in the morning we woke up to the smell of a tasty hot breakfast.
