The Barnstead Inn

The bar at the Barnstead Inn was a great place to unwind, and Tracy made some fantastic drinks. Megan and Tracy were warm and attentive throughout, and made us feel genuinely cared for. We came back for our third stay, this time for a romantic 10-year anniversary getaway, and it may have been our favorite visit yet. The atmosphere is cozy, peaceful, and made it easy to reconnect. Every visit has been exceptional, and the attention to detail stood out again. It feels like an experience, not just a place to sleep. We’ll be back and highly recommend it. Everything was spotless, from the rooms to the shared areas, and the whole place was well maintained. Getting around was easy too, with attractions, stores, and restaurants nearby. The owners and staff were professional and friendly, and made us feel at home throughout our stay. Service was excellent from beginning to end. We can’t wait to visit again.

Lucky and King, the resident dogs, were as sweet as advertised and fun to have around. We had a wonderful three-night stay over the busy holiday weekend. The room was comfortable, the property and Inn are beautiful, and the staff and management were terrific. They answered questions and offered suggestions when we asked. Breakfast was great, and coffee and other items were easy to find in the main office and bar areas. Manchester center was close, with shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes, plus plenty of parking even that weekend. You could walk into town if you wanted. There are also hiking options for different levels, including easier walks and sightseeing. We expect to visit again.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and we really enjoyed our stay. It’s a renovated BnB spread across several buildings, with fire pits, a pool, sauna, and small Tavern. Breakfast in the Tavern was included, while dinner cost extra. The main house had a water fountain and a coffee station with tea and hot chocolate. Town and other attractions were only a short drive away.
