Days Inn by Wyndham Manchester

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and parking was easy. There was a good range at breakfast, and I especially liked the tea. The location worked well too. I think there’s new management, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay 😊

We booked several rooms for a holiday weekend, hoping to use the pool on Sunday morning before checking out. We found out that a church rents the meeting room every Sunday morning, and pool access is included with that rental. The pool wasn’t being used when we asked whether it could be opened, but the GM and desk clerk responded in a very unprofessional way. That was one item on a long list of things we disliked. I’d strongly suggest staying somewhere else.

Breakfast was fresh and nice each day, but the rest of our stay had a lot of problems. The bathroom floor had long black hairs all over it. The sink clogged after we washed our hands once, then the toilet backed up the next day. We had to use the same plunger for both. The pool water was cloudy and the hot tub didn’t work. There was hardly ever anyone at the desk, and when we called from the hallway phone about the plumbing, we waited there more than ten minutes for an answer.

The pool and hot tub weren’t working when we arrived on New Year’s Eve, even though the pool had been working when I booked a month earlier. I’d asked them to let me know ahead of time if it would still be usable, but that didn’t happen. Breakfast was just okay. There’s room for improvement.
