The bed, shower, and room were all very comfortable. Parking was the frustrating part. Because everything was frozen outside, the woman at the counter told me the usual garage entrance was closed and I’d need to go around. The garage wasn’t marked as belonging to the hotel, and nobody explained how to enter or leave without paying. The front desk staff could use some training on that.

The area is the one thing this place has going for it, with lots of options for drinks and dinner outside the hotel. Inside, though, the restaurant food was bland and overpriced, the beds were uncomfortable for my whole family, and the so-called pool and spa was just a pool. They charged $15 a night for parking, which hadn’t been mentioned before we arrived. The room also didn’t have the microwave we were told it would. There was one in the lobby, I guess that’s what they meant, even though we were on the seventh floor and Booking.com said there’d be one in the room. We paid for breakfast too, but it wasn’t included when we got there. After we came home, we noticed dinner and drinks had been charged to the room even though we paid cash. When we called, they were rude and sent us through a list of numbers and extensions, but the voicemail box was full. The lobby looks decent, but that’s about it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I saw the other negative reviews after posting mine and hope the hotel actually sorts these problems out instead of giving the same routine responses.

The reservations desk was really helpful over the phone and found me a great deal, even though all the SNHU discount rooms were already booked. I’m excited to stay across from the SNHU Arena for graduation.

The location, beds and pillows, pool, and Honors area were positives. The hallways felt tired, the Honors area wasn’t kept tidy, and we saw both a parking garage fee and a self-parking fee on the bill. There are two or three other hotels within walking distance, and we’ll try one of those next. We were on the 12th floor, and the air conditioner was incredibly loud. We slept badly because of it. The room also had a motion-sensing thermostat. It was 77 when we arrived, with the AC running and the curtains drawn, and it was still warm when we got back from dinner. At night the temperature rose after we fell asleep. Both the AC and thermostat need fixing. We didn’t call the desk because we didn’t want to spend our day with our daughter trying to get their problem fixed. We usually prefer less housekeeping, but going five nights between visits is a bit much.
