Holiday Inn Manchester Airport by IHG

The rooms were clean and very nice, and the location is handy for both the highway and airport. The pool is nice. There was plenty of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion in wall-mounted bathroom dispensers. My one complaint is the $5 per day parking charge. The website says parking is free, and we're rewards members, but the woman at the desk didn't care. The lobby is also quite small, with the business center right in it, so it's not a quiet place to work.

The pool is nice, the hot jacuzzi tub was enjoyable, and the restaurant serves really good food. But housekeeping made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. On the first morning, a woman knocked around 9 a.m. and said she was there to clean, which was fine. The next day, 10/13/25, someone knocked loudly around 9:30 a.m. and opened the door right away without saying anything. I was naked in bed and got such a fright. I told my husband, and before he went out for groceries, he put a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. They still did it again, knocking and immediately opening the door without a word. It's ridiculous. We won't come back.

I found signs of fleas on the bed, and my dog ended up with fleas after staying in the room. I take excellent care of my dog and have never had this happen before. Now I have to treat my pet and belongings, which is stressful and costly. The room clearly hadn't been properly cleaned or treated, and this is unacceptable for a hotel that should provide clean, comfortable rooms, especially for guests with pets. I'm extremely disappointed. Cleanliness and pest control should be a priority, and I hope management takes this seriously so it doesn't happen to anyone else. I'd be cautious about staying here, with or without pets.

We stayed for a race weekend, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel seemed clean and comfortable, and the room itself was clean, but there was no missing the smell of gym shoes and dirty feet. We were in a king room 309, and our friends were in doubles 305. Both rooms had the same odor. If you're sensitive to smells, this may not be the place for you. They should probably remove the carpets from all the rooms.
