Comfort Suites Scranton near Montage Mountain

The pool and hot tub were very clean, and the game room looked like a lot of fun, with a pool table. It felt welcoming for both kids and adults, which makes sense so close to Montage. After skiing there, I stayed Wednesday night and had an easy check-in. My clean room had a nice mountain view, and I liked the full-length mirror that opens into a closet. The heater, fan, and AC all worked well, and I slept great. Breakfast ran from 6-9 am. It was limited, but handy, with good eggs and my favorite waffle maker. I'll stay again.

They sorted out the Wi-Fi in our room really quickly when it stopped working, and the staff were attentive throughout. The kitchenette was a nice feature, the showers were great, and the beds were so comfortable. I had the best night's sleep I've ever had at a hotel. There were plenty of breakfast choices. Thanks, Comfort Suites!

The suite was a good size, and the whirlpool was fantastic. It's close to montage mountain, with Scranton and Wilkes barre accessible from either direction. Breakfast was included and good for the room's very reasonable price.

I booked and paid through Expedia for a suite for my daughter and her male friend on a ski trip. She'd just turned 18, and I wanted them to have privacy and separate bathrooms. When she went to check in, the hotel sent her to a Hampton Inn, saying it was overbooked. They only had single rooms there, without comparable amenities. My daughter had to pay with her own credit card when she arrived, and was left in a single bedroom without the privacy I'd intended for her. Expedia customer service is siding with the hotel, despite what happened. They didn't honor the booking or notify us during the eight-hour window, and didn't provide the booked room or service. I feel blatantly robbed. The hotel told Expedia the booking was for two guests and that the assigned room accommodated two, and said they always provide bedding to meet guests' needs when moving someone to another room. That's not what happened to us. Expedia is allowing this. Book elsewhere.
