Super 8 Manchester Airport

The only thing going for the place was its location near the restaurant I visited. Otherwise, it was an uncomfortable stay. The room was dirty, the shower was so gross I didn’t use it, and the fridge and other appliances were dirty and had unexplained red marks or drips. The curtains were stained, and the room smelled strange. The bed was the only clean thing. People outside were smoking weed, and the woman at the desk barely spoke, sounding monotone and looking angry to be there. She was dressed like she was at home, and the whole experience felt uncomfortable. I used Expedia points and expected to pay just 51 cents total after they were applied. Instead, they charged my card $74.84 twice, with no explanation. No one answers when I call, no matter what time or how many attempts. Now I have to dispute the charges with my credit card company. If you can afford a few extra dollars for somewhere else, stay away.

The hotel’s easy to get to from the airport and convenient for getting around Manchester. Check-in was quick and smooth, and they have a basic but decent breakfast each morning. The room was roomy, with a huge bed and the essentials.

The smell of weed in the hallway and loud guests and TVs at 3 a.m. made for a miserable night. I couldn’t wait to leave in the morning. The hotel needs a serious deep cleaning. I don’t know who was staying there, but most didn’t seem to be visitors from out of town. I heard the front desk tell several callers the property was sold out, even though there were fewer than a dozen cars in the lot. Just stay away.

The hallways smelled awful, and the small room had a really bad odor too. There were burn holes in the comforter, and the dresser drawers were filthy inside. I definitely won’t stay here again.
