The location right by the lakefront is hard to beat. The house was beautiful and clean, and everything about our stay was fabulous. A must stay for a vacation or a quick getaway. Highly recommend!

The beds and pillows were really comfortable, and we enjoyed the balcony, the outdoor space downstairs, the kitchen, and our room. The owners were a delight to talk with at breakfast and around the grounds, and they know so much about local trees, museums, and history. Ask them about it! The old Mandeville library, now no longer a library, is across the street and has a cute free library out front that could always use donated books. Girod street is an easy walk, with lots of very cool shops and restaurants. Rips on the lake is insanely good. The pavilion, historic oak, and steps to nowhere are close by too, so go see them. We even got back at 2 am after watching the lunar eclipse from a blanket by the lake, sneaking through the hallway like teenagers. Such a cozy little stay, just steps from the beach.

Our family booked all five rooms for a weekend wedding, and it was a perfect place to stay. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, each with its own private bathroom. Some have a mini-fridge, coffee, and snacks, which is nice if you’d rather not socialize first thing in the morning. Cindy was so friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast she made was delicious. de la Bleau is amazing.

The bed was so comfortable, and the room came with coffee, water, and some goodies. Clyde and Cindy were very hospitable, and the place was quiet and beautifully located. Breakfast is served hot on WEEKENDS ONLY, and it was delicious, especially the bacon and cheese grits. I’d recommend staying here, and I WILL BE BACK! Also, the little fur baby let me rub his belly!!!

We stayed for two days to enjoy the scenery and bike the Saint Tammany Trace, just a few blocks away. Restaurants, the lakefront, and everything else you can imagine are within walking distance. Cindy and Clyde were the most accommodating, engaging hosts we’ve met in a long time. They’re the kind of people you can sit and talk with for hours. The house and rooms are beautiful, fresh, new, and clean, with thoughtful decor and something interesting to notice in every corner. Cindy and Clyde did much of the work themselves, giving a new home so much character. Even the hand-glued pennies lining the main-floor guest bathroom are a lovely little detail. And the breakfast was outstanding, hot and fresh, with choices for everyone and a smell that drew us out of our rooms. de la Bleau made our weekend spectacular, and we’d gladly return.
