Courtyard by Marriott Manhattan Aggieville

The room was comfortable and had the usual setup: a bed, desk and chair, small couch with an ottoman, and fridge. The newer-looking facility seems to meet what I expect from Marriott and the Courtyard concept. One issue was the shower’s half-wall arrangement, which let water spill across the floor. The check-in process is unusual. You park in marked guest check-in spaces, take the elevator up to check in, then go back down to move your car. The TV screen went black when switched off, but the set stayed lit, so I had to unplug it to darken the room. The AC cooled the room fine, though it only cycled on and off; there was no setting to keep the fan running.

The courtyard looked beautiful, though the firepits weren’t working. I loved being right in Aggieville, but the cleaning service didn’t do an adequate job in our room.

The rooms were tidy, clean, and easy to get to, and the parking garage was convenient to use and well placed. I’m not used to finding the front desk on the third floor, but it wasn’t a problem. No continental breakfast, which was pretty irritating after being out all night and getting up too early, lol. Nice hotel overall.

We stayed here with my youth group for a youth camp in Junction City. The rooms were nice and really clean, and I’d come back. I did hear that some rooms might not have microwaves, which is my only concern. Also, the lady working the Starbucks cashier was so kind. I wish I remembered her name, so give her a good tip if you stop there! 😊
