I've never stayed here, just offering a suggestion. Why not put guests on one side while the other is remodeled? If the place is dirty, maybe have guests help keep it up. Some people staying there could learn work habits, and Lansing could have a beautiful place for people without homes, where they could take pride in the work they did. If you love your work, you'll keep things nice.

When we reached our floor, the smell of chemicals and smoke hit us as the elevator opened. Some rooms along the hall had doors hanging open, apparently kicked in, and our assigned room was already open too. We didn't need the key or the escort after all. Once the man who walked us there left, we ran out and didn't look back. We were too scared to inspect the room. The mostly empty parking lot should have been our first warning. The lobby was the scariest, dirtiest hotel space I've seen, and it also seemed to serve as a homeless shelter. Check-in took around 20 minutes. We were told there was no vacancy, then escorted to the room by a man who said he wanted to make sure the door worked. The whole place felt terrifying.

After a football game, I checked in and was told there were no vacancies. They escorted me down a hallway where all the rooms were partly open. I left within five minutes of seeing the room because I truly feared for my safety. This would be a good place to film a slasher movie. I'm contacting Priceline for a refund and to file a complaint.

My aunt spent over a year living in a room here, with bed bugs biting her. They kept demanding rent and didn't seem to care about the problem. With her limited income, she couldn't find another place willing to take her until recently. I'm so glad she's out of that awful place. It's a health hazard, and they should close it or hand it over to the nonprofit that helps people without homes.

I booked two nights for my husband, our two babies, and me. The place looked like a homeless shelter, and I can't believe Orbitz advertises it as a hotel. I have nothing against homeless people, and I'm glad there's somewhere for people without homes to stay, but I paid 80 bucks for what felt like a shelter. I turned around, called Orbitz, cancelled, and got a refund. The boarded windows and filthy exterior made the parking lot feel creepy. The complimentary breakfast was a joke too. What they had that morning was still out, scattered around as if people had rummaged through it. I was appalled that guests are charged to stay there. There's a huge sign out front saying THANK YOU HOMELESS!!! This is insane. How do they stay in business? I'll call the health department. I can't see how this is safe or healthy. Don't stay here, run far away. I wish I could give it zero stars.
