Lancaster Inn and Suites

Marvin checked us in and was such a sweet person. His customer service was amazing and made our visit that much better. He deserves a lot of credit for his hard work, and I hope he keeps thriving at this hotel.

We’ve stayed here on and off for 25 years, so it’s sad to see how far it’s slipped in cleanliness, service, and quality. Most rooms have been updated, but they aren’t being maintained. Suite 305 needs a proper dusting and cleaning. The bathtub and bathroom were filthy, the shower curtain was stained and dirty, and although the bed linens were clean, the pillows stunk. The breakfast bar wasn’t kept up, and there was no milk for cereal or coffee. In dairy country, too!

The room was spotless, and I liked the hotel’s relaxed farm feel. Out back, the pool looks over a lovely pasture, and there are rocking chairs out front where you can unwind after a day exploring. The location is handy for everything nearby, from local markets to chocolate shops and other experiences. For this price, you can’t ask for more. I’d absolutely book here again.

You can hear EVERYTHING from every direction, so this really isn’t a place for light sleepers. Better pillows would help with comfort, too. Still, it worked for what we needed. The rooms were clean, the setup was nice, and breakfast was available and okay. Day shift staff were nice, though the evening staff were a bit weird. It wasn’t a horrible stay, just decent, and I’m not sure I’d choose it again. There are better and worse options.
