From the balcony I could see a stream and a pleasant picnic area with grills. The location is handy for local attractions, and restaurants, bars, and dispensaries are all within walking distance. It's an older place, but very clean, with a comfortable bed and decent pillows.

The rooms are great and the location is good, but the owners' behavior made me feel so uncomfortable that I'll never return, even if they paid me. At check-in, the husband and wife were friendly at first. I personally don't like walking into a motel office and smelling kimchi. There was one free bottle of water per day, and when I asked for two, she emphatically said no, only one per day. The way she said it made me feel like a little kid being scolded. At checkout I was past the checkout time. The husband came into my room, stood there with his arms crossed, and yelled in my face to pay for another day or hurry up and leave. He looked furious. Terrible customer service.

We were scrambling for a room at 10 pm on a busy holiday weekend after our original hotel reservation turned out to be double booked. I'm grateful we found this place, which was definitely an upgrade. The location gets a 10/10: you can see Pikes Peak from the front door and window, and there's a cute little balcony out back over a stream. The front desk was friendly, so service gets 10/10 too. I only took off a star for comfort. The beds are firm, which you'll love if that's your preference, but the pillows are very thin. Luckily, we always bring our own.

We had a late-night problem with our previous place, and every hotel seemed booked for the holiday weekend. The owners were so sweet and patient and helped us get a good night's sleep. It's a cozy place, and I'd absolutely recommend it.
