Bel Air Motor Lodge

This is my favorite motel in the area out of the ones I’ve stayed at. The staff are caring and helpful, and they gave me some grace and were willing to work with me. The maintenance lady is good people, too. There’s full surveillance, and the location is handy, with Wawa across the street and Moorestown just down the block.

I stayed with a family member who handled the booking, which is why my name might not show up in the system. The reply to my review felt dishonest and manipulative. If they respond by asking why I didn’t go to the front desk, I wouldn’t trust that promise of help. With management this poor, I don’t think they’d have been able to help even if they wanted to. The rooms were horrible and dirty, and the service seemed clueless. Avoid this place if you can.

We only ended up here because every other hotel nearby was booked. We checked in on 10/4/25 at around 1030 pm, and the man at the front desk was really rude. Room 414 was dirty, had holes all over the walls, and the bed felt like a box spring. When I went back and asked for another room, he said there wasn’t one, which turned out to be a lie. He said he’d call someone to fix the bed. Five minutes later, housekeeping came to the room, and thank goodness she was so sweet. She went to the desk and returned with a key card, even though the desk had told me there were no other rooms. Other guests kept asking my husband and me about drugs whenever we went out to the car. If you truly need somewhere to sleep for the night, this isn’t it. The reservation was in my husband’s name, with initials A.H.

I didn’t feel safe because there was no chain on the door. The room also had no hot water, beat-up walls, and a sink that looked moldy. The bed sheets were torn and stained, and even though it was supposed to be non-smoking, the place smelled like smoke.
