The inn felt like a little museum from another era, which made the stay unique. It was peaceful and quiet, with good hiking paths and everything we needed to be comfortable. Our room was beautiful and calming, and Shawn, the general manager, made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. It also made a great base for exploring the surrounding towns, and I loved that it’s pet-friendly. Such a good weekend getaway.

After my husband watched mysteries of the abandoned, we stayed in the zebra room at The Old Game Farm. It was a wonderful experience. Our room was beautiful, and Shawn gave us a detailed tour of the grounds and buildings. I just wish we could have seen the place while it was still operating. 🤷♀️ Definitely worth the trip.

Such a cool place to stay at the old game farm. We had the best time and will be back in summer!

We went to explore the abandoned zoo and spent three enjoyable hours walking around the grounds. The inn was the real surprise, though. We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t say much about the rooms, but the common areas have been remodeled and decorated beautifully. They’re stunning. The owner was helpful and kept us informed throughout. Visiting the Old Game Farm was one of the highlights of our Catskills trip.

The staff I met were friendly and good to talk with, and that added a lot to the experience. We camped at the Mountain View Tenterr site, which was great. Exploring the buildings and grounds was a blast, and really interesting. Being able to wander around somewhere that used to be so different felt like a once in a lifetime adventure. Catskill Game Farm exceeded my already high expectations. If you’re into urban exploring, it’s a must do.
