My wife and I came to Marietta for a quick getaway and were surprised by how much there is to enjoy. We loved the gracious hosts, delicious breakfast, and beautifully appointed rooms. The house is right in the center of town, too. We're hoping to come back in the fall for the local Halloween festival and the rail trails. It'll be nice to see how the gorgeous deck and three-season room have changed. Thanks!

The waterfront trail and nearby restaurants are both within walking distance of Ascot House. My room was large and comfortable, and Chris was a wonderful host. I came in March for a solo writing retreat and found it one of my most relaxing trips. I first stayed here in 2009 and was glad to return. I'd love to make it an annual visit.

The house was beautiful, and my room was clean and fresh. Chris was kind and accommodating, even offering us breakfast made to order and a full pot of coffee. I loved my time at Ascot House in Marietta and only wish we'd stayed longer. We hope to return for the town's candlelight tour during the holidays.

The large backyard was such a relaxing spot. We had a fire at the fire pit, and they provided marshmallows. The Susquehanna River Trail is about a block away, with a lovely walk, and it looks easy to rent bikes or boats. We hope to try those next time. Bonnie and Chris made the whole visit feel like a refreshing getaway. They chatted with us about the area and life, and cooked a delicious breakfast. After we were accidentally overbooked elsewhere, Chris dropped what he was doing and got us settled in within minutes. They were genuinely kind and phenomenal hosts. Ascot House is a lovely, carefully decorated historic home, and it was very clean. This was our first bed and breakfast stay, and now I don't think we'll want a hotel again, especially when we're in the Lancaster area. It was the highlight of our weekend. Thanks so much!

Chris and his wife made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They're warm, easy to talk to, and we had some great conversations. Breakfast was amazing, and Chris makes a great pot of coffee. Snacks and bottled water are kept in the dining room during the day, and the hosts are quick to respond. An iron and ironing board are available too. We stayed in the Surrey room, which I'd recommend. The bathroom is huge and beautiful, with a large jacuzzi and double vanity, and the fireplace gives it a dreamy feel. The room itself is comfortable and homey without a lot of frills. The bed runs firm, but extra blankets are available. There's Hulu and Live TV on the television. The house, built in 1801, has loads of character and a lovely outdoor area, cozy dining room, and plenty of places to sit and unwind. The house and neighborhood felt safe, even at night. You can hear sounds from outside and the train on the tracks. I found it peaceful and enjoyed that. My first B&B experience at Ascot House exceeded every expectation, and I can't wait to visit again.
