Doubletree Suites by Hilton at The Battery Atlanta

A rough day could turn into a good one just from Sylvia's empathy and smile. She has a real knack for noticing when someone needs extra kindness and offering it without hesitation. During my stay at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton at The Battery, she always made me feel welcome, supported, and cared for. Her professionalism stood out, but so did her heart. She changes the energy of a place just by being there. The hotel and its guests are lucky to have her.

We were charged $35 to park at a hotel we were already paying to stay at, and the $50 incidentals charge feels laughable when so much was broken, neglected, or dirty. I regret booking here. I usually choose Marriott, but picked this place for the location, its only real perk, and because the online photos looked good. We were in town for an event, so after checking in we dropped our things and didn't look closely until we got back late that night. Then we found black mold all over the shower ceiling. The shower filled with water while we used it, leaving us standing in our own filth up to our ankles. The bathroom sink also filled up as we brushed our teeth and took ages to drain, so the next person had to wait. The refrigerator was warm, and the food we'd bought for it went to waste. There were coffee stains on the sugar packets and creamer, apparently from another room or a previous guest. It was disgusting and not worth what we paid. I won't book another Hilton after this.

Sylvia at the front desk made me feel at home as soon as I arrived. She was welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable, and treated me like family. Her kindness made the stay memorable. The location was perfect for me, with shops, restaurants, and plenty to do within walking distance. It felt friendly for families and kids, and there were also lots of ways for adults to relax and have fun. I had a really great stay and thought it was excellent value for the price.

My cousin celebrated her birthday at the Doubletree in the Battery, where we had a clean, spacious suite. I'm from New York, so I really appreciated having that much room. Craig was extremely helpful when we needed assistance with the balloons and service, and he helped with just about anything. I had an amazing stay and would recommend the company to friends, family, and colleagues.
