The staff were polite, and the room was clean with hot water. It was a good one-night stay, just what I needed, and I'd stay again. They were short on towels, though.

When the water and plumbing failed completely, there was no running water for guests, and sewage was coming up through the toilet. I had to leave before my planned checkout and move to another property to meet basic needs. That added a lot of stress and made it impossible to stay. I was already displaced from home after a carbon monoxide leak made it unsafe to return, so I needed a place to rest and feel safe during a difficult, unexpected situation. I had planned to stay four nights at the Wyndham property in Marietta, Georgia, and had been there for three consecutive nights. On the first night, I paid an extra fee for late checkout and confirmed the rate with staff. Even so, housekeeping knocked at 10, 11, and noon, repeatedly asking when I was leaving. I thought they might be bringing the towels I'd requested more than four hours earlier. I explained several times that I had paid for late checkout, but the interruptions were uncomfortable and disruptive, and I left earlier than planned. That same day, while my partner was asleep and I briefly went to my car, staff knocked aggressively and questioned him about smoking in the room. He wasn't fully dressed, but a staff member insisted on coming in to inspect. It felt intrusive, inappropriate, and highly unprofessional. Around 7 that morning, the front desk clerk was asleep at the desk when I came down for body wash. It took more than two hours to get it, and housekeeping only gave a brief apology. I'm paying about $100 a night for a king suite, and there were maintenance problems too, including burned-out bathroom lights. This property needs immediate attention to its hospitality, guest privacy, staff conduct, upkeep, and basic services. Given why I needed a place to stay, the whole experience was especially disappointing and distressing.

The beds were comfortable, and for the price the hotel was an okay place to stay. It's an older property, though they seem to have done a fairly good job keeping it updated. Housekeeping could use a little more attention. I stayed for a week and was ready to move elsewhere once it was over. The elevator always smelled like BO, and my room had a strange, moldy odor. It's fine for a night or two, but I wouldn't want to stay long term.

The breakfast was disappointing, and the front desk staff were unprofessional and no help. Nothing seemed to work: the old elevator was unreliable, my room key didn't work, the WiFi details were wrong, and the in-room phone wouldn't connect to the desk. There weren't even basic amenities like a shaving kit. Simply the worst. Don't stay here; it's a great place to ruin your trip.
