The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel shows some wear, but it was adequate. The $6 parking fee put me in a bad mood right away. After driving all day, I arrived tired and cold to QR code signs saying I had to pay through an app. This is an off-the-interstate suburban hotel, not a city-center property or resort, and there’s no shortage of parking. It feels like nickel-and-diming. I’d rather see the room rate go up by $6. Without that fee, I probably would have given four or maybe five stars.

The room was dingy, and I could hear every footstep above me. It sounded like Bigfoot was in the room upstairs. The location seems good, but I’m only here for work and haven’t explored much. After a six-hour drive, I expected to check in and relax, but this was the longest hotel check-in I’ve experienced. One employee was helping another guest for at least 15 minutes while I stood there with my bag, and didn’t even say she’d be with me soon. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Kaitlyn was great when my room key gave me trouble several times. She went out of her way to help with a stressful situation, and we even talked about LOTR. The Elf on the Shelf game in the lobby was a fun way to start the day. The staff were helpful, the food was good, and the rooms were clean. A wonderful place to stay.

Check-in was the worst I’ve had, despite staying at many hotels around the country. My company had booked the room for a business trip, but the staff required the company cardholder to be there at check-in. They also refused my service animals, so I paid from my personal accounts because the work I had to attend to was time sensitive. Every step was made difficult. We ended up paying twice, for my room and the company booking that nobody used, and also paid for the animals just to get it over with. Our company won’t use Hilton for business trips anymore. It felt like the young women at the desk were looking for reasons to make things difficult.
