Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center

The staff were wonderful, but I'm not sure the price makes sense. I booked with points and still don't know if I'd pay over $300 a night midweek; parking was expensive too. The hotel is centrally located, and the lobby and common areas are beautiful. Breakfast at the restaurant was very nice even at $25. My room felt a little dated, with an old-style tub shower where I'd expect an upgraded shower for a property like this.

We were here for a company party at Cobb Convention Center. The small bar felt cozy, and the staff were nice and efficient. The breakfast buffet looked good from 11 floors up. The place was very clean, though parking is EXPENSIVE.

The rooms were older but clean and seemed well kept. I wanted to enjoy the stay more, but all the extra charges put a sour note on the trip. Parking was $35 a day for self-parking, a price I don't think was disclosed when booking, unless it was buried in tiny print. Breakfast was another $20 per person, and Wi-Fi cost $13 a day if you weren't a member. For a family of four using the buffet and paying these charges, that's over $120 a day on top of the room. If breakfast had been included like at most places, or parking had been more reasonable, I probably wouldn't have written a review. Charging those rates and then adding hidden costs is sad to see. These big companies nickel and dime people for everything while giving the bare minimum, putting profit over people.

Charlisee at the front desk was so kind and knowledgeable last night. The hotel's beautiful interior overwhelmed me a bit, and she answered questions I hadn't even realized I'd have. She was friendly and made check-in quick, while explaining everything that could make my stay better than expected. I'll definitely come back, since I didn't get to enjoy all the amenities she recommended.
