Inn on Water Street

The location is pretty, and the beds are comfortable. The rooms are decent, though the bathroom in our double queen room was tiny. We’ve stayed twice, with the second visit prompted by my sister’s funeral across the street. I wasn’t especially keen to return, but the convenience mattered. There’s no 24-hour front desk, so give an accurate arrival time when booking and hope your trip goes to plan. The lobby coffee machine is nice when it works, but it was out of order during our first stay and broke again on the second. The Keurig was the only other option, since there aren’t any coffee shops in town. Breakfast is basic, with things like bagels, yogurt, English muffins, and premade hard-boiled eggs, and it’s only available from 7:30 to 10:30. That’s not much help if you leave early. For what you get, I think it’s way overpriced.

The King Balcony Deluxe room was spotless, thoughtfully set up, and a lovely place to unwind with the view. The Inn on the Water felt welcoming, and it was exceptionally dog-friendly, so bringing our pup made the visit even better. Staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. We had a peaceful, quiet getaway and plan to return for another quick one. Some outlets were hard to plug into, though.

The little touches stood out, and we loved the great rooms and awesome view at Inn on the Water. It was our first visit to Marine city, and we were pleasantly surprised by how quaint the place felt and how friendly the people were. My husband and I are planning to come back later this summer. I might swap the feather pillows for standard ones, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. I also love that the package options support local businesses. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

The hotel was incredibly quiet and super close to the lake, with easy-to-find parking. My room was cozy and comfortable, and the restaurant was great. Staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful with directions around town. They were also very accommodating when I checked in late, going above and beyond to make the stay amazing.
