Independence Stay

My coffeemaker stopped working, and they replaced it right away. The place was clean and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served in the main hotel across the parking lot.

The front desk staff were kind when they greeted me as I arrived to visit my family, who were staying here. But the chemical smell in the lobby, especially the elevator, was overwhelming. I could only guess that it came from air fresheners. I have a condition that gets worse with aerosols and similar things, so I couldn't stay long and had to leave quickly. The headache from riding the elevator was bad. I wish hotels were more mindful of people with conditions like mine, particularly in enclosed places such as elevators.

A lovely little find. The room was comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced, and the front desk was pleasant. They even gave me a small gift bag at check-in. Having an extra pillow and blanket in the room was great too. We had a great stay.

We'd happily stay at Independence Stay again. It's an easy stop just off Hwy 41 and near Hwy 64, on the edge of Marinette's business district and main strip. The property is well maintained, the staff are really friendly, and several restaurants are close by. There's another building on the same property for extended stays too.
